Dr G Tao Mai - Radiation Oncologist

Dr Mai is a staff specialist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital with special interests in managing lung, gastro-intestinal and breast cancers, as well as stereotactic body radiotherapy.

Special interests include lung cancer, breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancers, stereotactic body radiotherapy

Dr Mai obtained her medical degree and her PhD at the University of Queensland.  She completed her subsequent specialty and fellowship training in Prince of Wales Hospital and Westmead Hospital in Sydney.  Upon returning to Brisbane, she joined the Princess Alexandra Hospital in 2006, and has concentrated on sub-specialties in the management thoracic, gastro-intestinal and breast malignancies.  She has actively involved in the implementation of new radiation technologies in the treatment of these diseases.

Dr Mai is a senior lecturer with the University of Queensland, is actively involved in research and teaching of junior doctors.  She holds professional memberships of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) and Trans Tasman Radiation Oncology (TROG).
