Dr Margot Lehman - Radiation Oncologist

Dr Margot Lehman obtained her medical degree through the University of Queensland.  Following the completion of specialist training in Radiation Oncology, she was accepted into the Radiation Oncology Fellowship program at the University of Toronto and completed a further twelve months of sub-specialty training.

Special interests include urological cancers, lung cancer,
breast cancer, genito-urinary malignancies

Upon her return to Brisbane, Dr Lehman has sub-specialised in the management of breast, lung and genito-urinary malignancies.  She has been actively involved in the implementation of  new technologies used to treat these malignancies and has a commitment to ongoing research into these tumour sites. 

Committed to cancer research and recipient of research grants

Dr Lehman is the recipient of research grants awarded by Cancer Australia and the Princess Alexandra Hospital Research Foundation. Dr Lehman has contributed to national evidence-based guidelines on the management of Brain tumours, Genito-urinary malignancies and Non-small Cell Lung Cancer.

Dr Lehman is a Senior Lecturer with the University of Queensland.  She is an Examiner for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologist’s Faculty of Radiation Oncology (RANZCR FRO) Part II examinations. Dr Lehman holds professional memberships of the Trans Tasman Radiation Oncology (TROG), the Australian Lung Cancer Trials Group (ALTG) and the European Society for Therapeutic Radiation and Oncology (ESTRO).

Dr Lehman has a commitment to the delivery of quality, evidence-based patient focussed care.
